北京大学城市与环境学院毕业,理学博士。现为中国人民大学清史研究所讲师,主要从事中国历史地理学研究(侧重人文、区域、学术史),兼及中国地理(地图)学史。曾编著《住在北京:北京居住文化》(东方出版社,2007)。代表性论文包括:《经世致用——侯仁之学术生涯的思想基调》,《中国历史地理论丛》,2007年第1期;《燕大时期顾颉刚的学术事业与禹贡学会》,《齐鲁学刊》,2010年第6期;《元代大都地区的农牧矛盾与两都巡幸制度》,《清华大学学报(哲社版)》,2011年第2期。
Ding Chao (B.A., Qufu Normal University, 2002; Ph.D., Peking University, 2008) is currently assistant professor at RUC. His primary academic fields are the historical geography of Dynastical China and the history of Chinese geography. Ding is currently working on a pictorial history of the Qing dynasty (1644-1911). He has also been researching on ancient maps and world heritage. Ding will add interdisciplinary strength to the Center for Ecological History at RUC. His publications include Dwelling in Beijing: The dwelling culture of Beijing city and many articles, including “Conflicts Between Agriculture and Pasture in Dadu Region and the Foundation of the Dual-capital System in the Yuan Dynasty”, Journal of Tsinghua University (Philosophy and Social Sciences) 26(2): pp. 94-106.
