历史学博士学位，中国人民大学清史研究所副教授。主要从事景观史、清代政区地理、基层组织史研究，发表《清代佐杂的新动向与乡村治理的实际——质疑“皇权不下县”》、《<清史稿·地理志>纂修考》等学术论文近十篇，曾获谭其骧禹贡基金会“第四届优秀青年历史地理论著奖”论文类二等奖（2011年）。

Dr. Hu Heng is Associate Professor at the Qing Institute at Renmin University of China. He received his Ph.D. degree in the field of historical geography from RUC in 2011. His current research interests are landscape evolution, the administrative jurisdictions in Qing dynasty, and local organization. His publications include: “The new trend of miscellaneous auxiliary officials and the actual of rural governance system—Reflection of the theory Emperor Governs not Administration beneath County.” In New History, ed. by Yang Nianqun, Zhonghua Book Company, 2011.
