历史学博士,曾在北京师范大学历史系博士后流动站和中国社会科学院近代史研究所工作,现为中国人民大学清史研究所教授,中国近代史教研室主任。主要研究领域为中国近代灾荒史,代表作为《地方性流动及其超越:晚清义赈与近代中国的新陈代谢》(中国人民大学出版社,2006)。
Zhu Hu is a professor of history at Renmin University of China. He earned his doctorate in history from RUC in 2002, then held a postdoctoral fellowship at Beijing Normal University. From 2004 to 2009, he worked at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Since then he has been on the faculty at RUC. He devotes much attention to famine history in modern China, and his main work is The Fluidity and Transcendence of Localism: Late-Qing Charitable Relief and the Transition from the Old to the New in Modern China.
