复旦大学历史地理学专业本科、硕士、博士毕业,华东师范大学地理学博士后。曾任中国社科院历史所历史地理研究室主任。现为中国人民大学清史研究所教授、历史地理学专业博士生导师。出版专著《英国国家档案馆庋藏近代中文舆图》(上海社会科学出版社,2009)、《中国历史地理学综述》(山东教育出版社,2009),发表《清代以来三峡地区水旱灾害的初步研究》(《中国社会科学》)、《中国历代更改重复县名及其现实意义》(《历史研究》)、《清朝历史上的八级地震》(《光明日报》)等学术论文。
Prof. Hua Linfu graduated from Fudan University, Shanghai. Now he is a professor in the School of History, at RUC. He has traveled in more than ten countries, including the U.K., Japan, South Korea, and many European Union countries. His major field is historical geography. One of his academic interests is the landscape history of China; another main interest is antique toponymy (place-name research). Prof. Hua Linfu has published four monographs, including Classical Chinese Manuscript Maps and Atlases in the National Archives of the U.K. (2009) and Chinese Historical Geography (2009). He has also published more than one hundred papers, including “A Preliminary Study of the Floods and Droughts in the Three Gorges Since the Qing Dynasty,” Journal of Chinese Social Sciences, Vol.XXI, No.3..
