作者简介

姚平，美国加州州立大学洛杉矶校区历史系终身教授、华东师范大学历史系客座教授。1982年华东师范大学历史学学士,1985年复旦大学历史学硕士。1990年赴美留学, 就读于伊利诺大学,1992年获文化人类学硕士, 后师从伊沛霞教授，1997年获历史学博士学位。曾获美国国家人文基金会2005年度教授研究奖,中国留美历史学会2006年度杰出学术研究奖，2011年富布赖特资深学者奖。2008-2009年哈佛大学神学院研究员。著有《唐代妇女的生命历程》(2004、2006)，及英文研究性论文数十篇，主编《当代西方汉学研究集粹》五卷等。曾任全美留美历史学会主席(2007—2009)，现任The Chinese Historical Review、T’ang Studies、Daoist Studies等英文期刊编委。
