The academic conference on "Institutional Changes in the Qing Dynasty and Social Governance in North China" and the 2024 Annual Meeting of the History Society of Hebei Province were held at Hebei University from November 8 to 10, 2024. Co-organized by the Institute of Qing History of Renmin University of China, the editorial department of The Qing History Journal, the Hebei History Society, and the School of History of Hebei University, the conference attracted more than forty experts and scholars from universities and research institutions such as Renmin University of China, Nankai University, Nanjing University, Jinan University, Shanxi University, Anhui University, Tianjin Academy of Social Sciences, and Hebei Academy of Social Sciences. The conference aimed to promote integrated research on Qing history and North China regional history and discussion of related issues.
