The working meeting on the Punctuated and Annotated Edition of the Draft of Qing History (Qing Shi Gao清史稿) Revision Project was held at Renmin University of China from February 15 to 16, 2025. More than fifty scholars from universities, publishing agencies and research institutes such as Zhonghua Book Company, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, National Library of China, China National Archives of Publications and Culture, Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law, and Inner Mongolia University discussed relevant issues concerning the major project of revising the Punctuated and Annotated Edition of the Draft of Qing History. The meeting covered the current state of progress of the revision and specific experiences of researchers involved in this work. Particpiants also dsicussed principles for compiling notes with which to build a standard method for “Editing and Collating” this revision.

This individual revision project is an important part of the "Revision Project of the Punctuated and Annotated Edition of the ‘24 Histories’ and the Draft of Qing History." As a major national cultural project, this project has been included in the "14th Five-Year Plan." The project was officially launched in March 2023. The Zhonghua Book Company, the general implementing unit of the revision project, entrusted the Institute of Qing History of Renmin University of China to undertake project management and implementation. Professor Huang Aiping of the Institute of Qing History served as the revision host. Through comprehensive and systematic version review, text collation, punctuation revision and text comparison，the project aims to form a new upgraded version of the Draft of Qing History with unified style, accurate punctuation, meticulous collation and easy reading.
