The academic conference on “New Historical Materials, New Viewpoints, New Theories: History of Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Historical Perspective of the Chinese Nation" was held in Beijing on November 30, 2024. Co-organized by the School of History and Culture of Minzu University of China, the Institute of Qing History of Renmin University of China, and the Ancient General History Research Office of the Institute of Ancient History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the conference attracted more than 100 scholars and professionals from prominent universities and research institutes, such as Peking University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, Nanjing University, Nankai University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the First Historical Archives of China, as well as representatives from famous domestic academic journals, publishing agencies, and media organizations. The conference presented examined questions relating to the continuous consolidation and development of the Chinese nation during the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties.
